Innovative Packaging

I like this packaging because it introduce the form of realism to the item it is some kind of naturalisation of the product which feels more real and natural and the new thing it introduces is the tactile element which is more natural.

I like this wine new package because it is a new idea in the field of wine packaging. Well its a regenerated idea coming from water packaging but that package made it happen in the wine industry and that is and innovation

Letterforms

I think that every letterform has its own personality or characteristic, characteristic or connotation. My favourite letterform is the letter N because it has two characterisics; it has cool personality on the two sides because of its vertical lines and the diagonal part gives it another dynamic aspect.

ones of the examples of manipulated letterforms is this R letter in this logo Orbis, i like it because it is a serif old traditional letter on the left while it is modern manipulated letterform on the left.wordmark21

I also like this manipulated letterform lower-case g because it looks like a “g” and an “s” in the same time and no matter how it is edited it could still have the identity of a g and it could still read as a gsg-logo2

Bitasoft is an animation and graphic development company which obviously work on development of games and many other graphic elements. The software they were talking about, renders that render graphics in an easy modern way,  their advanced equipment and skilled methods makes the image taste like genuine.

pictograms

Many students liked those pictograms which refers to the beijing olympic games but i could not avoid displaying those pictograms which works pretty well together. One cant but notice the parental link of those pictograms to the chinese way of writing and somehow their reflection of the chinese culture.

neonx_iconsI like those icons because they are both conventional as sign wise where as they  are a new designed perspective for apple. They hold the identity of Apple, still there positive negative concept gives them simplicity and balance without making them loose their conventional meening which is strongly present.

They are index icons for there is a direct link between the icon and the object.

Their bubly aspect strenghten their virtual media effectand gives them a three dimensional effect. 

it  puts the user at the center of the digital Hub; it cosists search engine, firewall internet browser email on one side, and all the network access elements on the other.

They all work together to form a complete digital hub concept where as design they are all from the same family via color, linetype and aspect

sagmeisterSagmeister studied graphic design at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. He later received a Fulbright scholarship to study at the Pratt Institute in New York.

In 1991, he moved to Hong Kong to work the Leo Burnett’s Hong Kong Design Group. In 1993, he returned to New York to work Tibor Kalman’s M&Co design firm. His tenure there was short lived, as Kalman soon decided to retire from the design business to edit Colors magazine for the Benetton Group in Rome.

Stefan Sagmeister proceeded to form the New York based Sagmeister Inc. in 1993 and has since designed branding, graphics, and packaging for clients as diverse as the Rolling Stones, HBO, the Guggenheim Museum and Time Warner. Sagmeister Inc. has employed designers including Martin Woodtli; and Hjalti Karlsson and Jan Wilker, who later formed Karlssonwilker.

Stefan Sagmeister is a long-standing artistic collaborator with musicians David Byrne and Lou Reed. He is the author of the design monograph “Made You Look” which was published by Booth-Clibborn editions.

Solo shows on Sagmeister Inc’s work have been mounted in Zurich, Vienna, New York, Berlin, Tokyo, Osaka, Prague, Cologne, and Seoul. He teaches in the graduate department of the School of Visual Art in New York and has been appointed as the Frank Stanton Chair at the Cooper Union School of Art, New York.

He has received a Grammy Award in 2005 in Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package category for art directing Once in a Lifetime box set by Talking Heads. He would also work on the 2008 David Byrne and Brian Eno album Everything That Happens Will Happen Today.

erikProf. Dr. h.c. Erik Spiekermann studied History of Art and English in Berlin. He is information architect, type designer (FF Meta, ITC Officina, FF Info, FF Unit, LoType, Berliner Grotesk et al) and author of books and articles on type and typography. He was founder (1979) of MetaDesign, Germany’s largest design firm with offices in Berlin, London and San Francisco. Projects included corporate design programmes for Audi, Skoda, Volkswagen, Lexus, Heidelberg Printing, Berlin Transit, Duesseldorf Airport and many others. In 1988 he started FontShop, a company for production and distribution of electronic fonts. He holds an honorary professorship at the Academy of Arts in Bremen, is board member of ATypI and the German Design Council and Past President of the istd International Society of Typographic Designers as well as the iiid International Institute of Information Design. In 2003 he was awarded the Gerrit Noordzij Prize for Typography from the Royal Academy in The Hague, Netherlands. In 2006 received an honorary doctorship from Pasadena Art Center. In 2001 he redesigned The Economist magazine in London. His book for Adobe Press,“Stop Stealing Sheep” has recently appeared in a second edition and both a German and a Russian version. His corporate font family for Nokia was released in 2002. The exclusive family of typefaces for Deutsche Bahn (the German railway system), designed with Christan Schwartz, was awarded the Federal German Design Prize 2007. He left MetaDesign in 2001 and now runs SpiekermannPartners with offices in Berlin, London and San Francisco. Clients include Bosch, Deutsche Bahn, Pioneer Investment, Messe Frankfurt, Nokia, Birkhäuser Verlag Basel and many others.
